Here's a random smattering of moments from Te wo Tsunaide '05. Some of these photos MIGHT drift off to accompany incoming Reports and Comments. Many won't, and I might eventually add more previously unseen pictures (check the update date).

HELP: If anyone has pictures of Vicky and Victor vs Katherine and Kellin in their round 3 (semi-finals) game, please please please let me know!!!!

Moment: Turn Demo/Rules Q&A
Players: Janice Kim, with assistance from Bruce, Jessica Lin, and Bill Manka.
Comments: Janice Kim hosting the turn-order demo and rules Q&A. She is partnered with her husband Bruce (to her right), and assisted by Jessica Lin and Bill Manka (facing them). In the background you can see (right to left) Eric Wainwright, Ulo Tamm, Yaphet Tewahade, Jessica Clarke (in front of Yaphet), Aichan Tewahade, Ruth Thompson, and Steven Bird.

Comments: Janice's turn demo from another perspective. I can't make out who all of the people in this picture are, so I'll use ?s right now and update later if possible. Left to right, with front to back getting precedence: Vicky and Victor's father I believe, ?, Kent Evenson, Eric Kim, Jessica Lin, Deborah Pierce, ?, Amara Sailing, Kellin Pelrine, Adam Shamblin, ?, Gordon Klock, and Steven Bird.
Moment: Round 1
Players: Steve Shapland and Jill Thompson (left), Adam Shamblin and Deborah Pierce (right). Adam and Deborah won.

Comments: To the right of this game are Kellin Pelrine and Katherine Lin (they were playing Laura Conley and Paul Barchilon, who can not be seen), being watched by (left to right) Pairings Director Tim Rand, Stu Horowitz, and Eric Wainwright. In the background is Janice Kim in a teaching game with Ibrahim and Ismail Tigrek. The game on the back left side is Steven Bird and Ruth Thompson (left) versus Kent Evenson and Jasmine Sailing (right).
Moment: Round 1
Players: Jessica Lin and Bill Manka (left), Tuba and Sayit Tigrek (right). Jessica and Bill won.

Comments: The players are being watched by Tuba and Sayit's children + Stu Horowitz. Behind Stu is Tim Rand. The back row of games (left to right) are Laura Conley and Paul Barchilon vs Katherine Lin and Kellin Pelrine; Deborah Pierce and Adam Shamblin vs Jill Thompson and Steve Shapland; and Aichan and Yaphet Tewahade vs Amara Sailing and Bruce Young.
Moment: Round 1
Players: Vicky and Victor Li (left), Jessica Clarke and Ulo Tamm (right). Vicky and Victor won.
Comments: It's Jessica's turn, and this was her 1st Go tournament (7 years old). Is it fortunate or unfortunate to play the 1st place winners in the 1st round of your 1st tournament?
Moment: Round 2/post knock-out
Players: Adam Shamblin and Deborah Pierce vs Katherine Lin and Kellin Pelrine (Katherine and Kellin won, the other 2 games are post knock-out), Tuba and Sayet Tigret vs Jill Thompson and Steve Shapland, Bruce Young and Amara Sailing.

Comments: A mix of round 2 and post knock-out games. In the second line you can see Jessica Lin and Bill Manka, plus Stu Horowitz observing. Paul Barchilon and Laura Conley are also playing a post knock-out game.
Moment: Round 2
Players: Aichan and Yaphet Tewahade (left), Vicky and Victor Li (right). Vicky and Victor won.

Comments: Behind them is David Weiss is subjecting an innocent child to a teaching game (right), and (left) Ruth Thompson and Steven Bird are playing a post knock-out game. I should also note that the innocent child received a special prize for being the youngest (4 years old) player at the Rocky Mountain Go Tournament a little over a month later!
Moment: semi-finals
Players: Jessica Lin and Bill Manka (left), and Jasmine Sailing and Kent Evenson (right). Jessica and Bill won.

Comments: It's a little too early in the game to be exciting, but it was the only one on my camera. We seem to have a later version of the same set-up from the prior picture in the background (looks like seichi in the teaching game), though you can now see Ismail and Ibrihim Tigrek on the back left edge (they were a faux pair for the experience in the post knock-outs). Stu Horowitz is the seemingly eternal observer but, don't worry, he has a partner lined up for TwT '06.
Moment: post knock-out
Players: Ruth Thompson and Steven Bird (left), and Katherine Lin and Kellin Pelrine (right). Katherine and Kellin won.

Comments: Larry LeJeune is taking notes. The winner of this game would become the winner of the Fighting Spirit award (most wins for a knocked-out pair). Second place was a tie, so it can't really be declared. This was the final official post knock-out game.
Moment: post knock-out
Players: Sayit and Tuba Tigret (left), and Steve Shapland and Deborah Pierce (right).
Comments: A post knock-out pair mix-up. Deborah (who played with Adam Shamblin) flew in from Seattle for the tournament, so it was only fair to share her. ;) It was fine for people to do whatever they wanted to for fun in the post knock-outs, though mixed pairs couldn't count toward the Fighting Spirit award.
Moment: finals
Players: Jessica Lin and Bill Manka (left), and Vicky and Victor Li (right). Vicky and Victor won.
Comments: The final game of the knock-outs. Paul Barchilon is anxiously watching the game (seeing his kids' club kids pitted against each other for the grand finale). Bruce vs Bruce (normal Go) is in the background.
